This is your last warning, I'm not sure, but there may be spoilers here.
Thanks goes to Seraphita for helping me compile this list. We plan to add to this, so check back soon.
The meanings of the main character's names:
Fei: Right now, nothing. But a Chinese
Fei-Yi was a two headed snake with six wings.
Elli (Elly): Though the pet name of a
pet name, the base name means, "Light" in Greek.
Bart: Lots of random things like "Son
of Talmai" "Hill". But oddly enough One of the Twelve Apostles in the Bible.
Rico: Short
form of Richard, meaning "Powerful, rich ruler".
Billy: Nickname
for William. Meaning "will desire" or in Greek "Protection of faith." Sounds
like Billy to me.
The meanings of other character's names:
Kain: The first murderer in the Bible. He killed his brother Abel.
Prima: Means "First, best."
Id: Id is one part of Freud's definitions of the three parts to a personality. The id is the instinctual drives a person ranging from wishes and desires. The id lacks any self control and looks for immediate solutions. The ego is what relates to the outside world, and controls what is acceptable and not. The superego is the persons ideal version of themself. Of course, that's really concise, so I hope the idea is clear enough.
Grahf:The meanings of the kanji in his blast attack are Destruction, King, All, and the last
one is Kill.
Khan:Turkish for "lord."
Balthasar, Gasper, and Melichor: The three
wisemen from the Bible. Them seem to be a lot of Square games.
Dominia: "Of the lord" I dunno the spelling
wasn't to right on that one to start with.
Seraphita: After flipping through billions
of Pet forms. "Hebrew (I think) for "burning one". She is a fire
elemental Serpahim (or serphim) Highest ranking angels.
Kelvana(Jp Chevana):Cherubim keepers for
stars pretty high ranking angels
Tolone(jp Trone): Thrones, bring God's
justice.
Dominina: Dominions or dominations, yet
another angel. According to some they "regulate angels' duties".

And now, the meaning of Gear's names:
Weltal: German for
Space or Emptiness
Vierge: In French
it means Virgin
Heimdall (or Heimdally): Norse
son of Odin and a bunch of sea nymphs (if you really want to know how a
bunch of nymphs can have a single son, go figure it out yourself.)
Heimdall guarded the bridge from the Asgard (heave) to Midgard (the middle
land). The bridge appeared to be a rainbow to mortals. It is
said at Ragnarok (end of the world) the bridge will fall to giants.
Fenrir (Citan's onmigear): A Monstrous
wolf of Norse Myth, son of Loki, the trickster. I think he'll end
up killing Odin at the end of the world. Tried to pick up the Kanji
but only got Life out of it.
Andvari (Bart's onmigear): A little dwarf
who had a lot of gold in Norse Mythology.
Siebzehn (Maria's gear): In German means
seventeen
Achtzene (Red gear that attacks Shevat):
In German means eighteen.
Other interesting things:
Yggdrasil: The Norse tree of life. It's
branches reach up to Asgard, heaven, and roots down to Nifleim, hell.

Deus (or Deaus): latin for God
